Which way does this Flexible MDF bend?
Our Flexible MDF is supplied for longitudinal, or lengthwise, bending. Mark the bending direction and sheet length and width on your drawing, including how the component will be cut and supported.
How is the flexible sheet constructed?
The whole thin MDF sheet bends directly, with continuous plain faces. Grooved MDF Panels provide a different machined surface or profile. Share the intended curved part so we can help select the relevant supply.
What is the minimum bending radius?
The suitable radius is established for the actual thickness, sheet direction, support, forming and finishing process. Send the radius and curved section you want to make; a representative sample checks the construction before you confirm the order.
Where can I use Flexible MDF?
Consider it for supported curved furniture fascias, rounded reception or retail counters, column wraps and decorative curved interior panels. The complete component design, supporting structure and protective finish determine the intended use.
Can I paint, veneer or face the curved board?
Flexible MDF provides a plain substrate for your chosen finishing process. Agree the surface preparation, adhesive or coating and forming sequence, then test the complete curved sample to check bonding, appearance and retained shape.
How does Flexible MDF differ from Thin MDF Board?
Thin MDF Board covers a broader thin-panel range for supported furniture and interior parts. This Flexible MDF page describes the specifically confirmed 3–6 mm, lengthwise-bending supply. Choose it around the actual curve and sample; select ordinary thin board around its stated application and specification.
How do I request a sample?
Samples are free and the buyer pays courier cost, which can be credited against a formal order. Send the thickness, curve drawing and delivery address. We confirm sample availability, preparation, courier cost and estimated transit time; the sample check follows your intended bend and support.
How should the sheets be handled and packed?
Support the thin sheets evenly and keep them flat, dry and protected before forming. We agree cover boards, clean separators, edge protection, wrapping, supports and bundle quantities around the dimensions and unloading arrangements.
