Melamine MDF Specifications
Melamine faced MDF has resin-impregnated decorative paper pressed directly onto an MDF core. This thermally fused laminate (TFL) surface is supplied ready for cutting, edge banding and assembly.
Thickness2–35 mm; finish and core confirmed for the selected thickness.

Cutting, drilling and edge banding
Send part sizes, quantities, grain direction and hole positions. Specify the edge-band material, colour, thickness and edges to cover for each component.
Humid interior furniture
For kitchens or bathroom furniture, select an appropriate moisture-resistant core. Seal edges and openings, and protect the finished component from standing water.

Melamine MDF is supplied with a decorative face over an MDF core. White and black describe the surface colour; the cut edge shows the core. For exposed routed edges with colour throughout, compare Black MDF. For a real wood face, compare Veneered MDF.

How is Melamine MDF different from HPL MDF?
Melamine MDF has decorative paper pressed directly onto its core. HPL MDF uses a separately manufactured high-pressure laminate sheet bonded to the board. Compare the appearance and surface-performance requirements for your furniture.
Does white or black Melamine MDF have a coloured core?
White and black describe the decorative face. The cut edge shows the selected MDF core until it is finished or edge-banded. For colour through exposed routed edges, choose the separate Black MDF product.
Can I request a free Melamine MDF sample?
Yes. Send your finish reference, thickness and delivery address. Product samples are free; you pay the courier charge, which can be credited against a formal order. We confirm the requested sample and dispatch timing.
How do I match a custom finish or repeat an order?
Send your existing finish sample, or the previous order number and retained sample reference. We compare the production decor, texture, gloss and agreed colour variation under consistent lighting, and record any changes with the new order.
How do I choose matching edge banding?
Compare the face and edge-band samples together for colour, texture and gloss. Specify band material, thickness and the edges to cover, then check the finished corner and edge on a component.
Can Melamine MDF be used in kitchens and bathrooms?
Choose the MDF core grade for the expected humidity. The completed component needs sealed edges, joints and openings, suitable detailing and protection from standing water; the decorative face alone does not make a panel waterproof.
Can you supply panels ready for assembly?
We offer cutting, drilling, hinge boring and edge banding to your cut list or drawings. Include part IDs, quantities, grain direction and hardware positions. The quotation confirms finished dimensions, tolerances and the supplied processing stage.
What documents and inspection can I request?
Request selected-core data, emissions documents and any surface-performance information needed for your panel and destination. We confirm which construction the documents cover. Third-party inspection can be arranged before shipment.
