PET Faced MDF Specifications
PET Faced MDF combines a decorative PET film or laminate with an MDF core. Specify the PET series, colour, matte or gloss appearance, reverse and edges as a complete furniture panel.
ThicknessSpecify MDF core thickness, PET facing thickness and finished-panel thickness separately. Available combinations and the finished tolerance follow the selected PET faced MDF order.
SizeSheet formats and cut-to-size dimensions follow the selected PET faced MDF construction and order. Part dimensions, machining and finished tolerances are recorded against the agreed drawing.
DensityThe quotation identifies the selected MDF core and nominal density in kg/m³. Finished-panel weight includes the PET face, reverse and bonding layers, plus any supplied edges or fittings.
GlueThe MDF resin and PET-to-core bonding system follow the selected construction. Face, reverse and edge-band materials and the relevant bonding requirements are specified for the component.
Formaldehyde gradeState the emission class, test method and destination requirement for the supplied panel. We confirm the selected MDF core, finished construction and corresponding available reports with the order.
SurfacePET film or laminate in the selected colour, texture and matte, super-matte or high-gloss finish. The PET series, physical sample, facing thickness, reverse and edge reference identify the supplied appearance.

Are PET faced MDF and PET laminated MDF the same?
Both terms are used for MDF carrying a decorative PET face. Identify the PET series, facing thickness, core, reverse and supplied edge treatment in the specification so the name refers to the complete product you are ordering.
Is all super-matte MDF PET faced?
Super-matte describes a surface appearance and can be offered on different decorative constructions. For this product, specify the PET film or laminate and its reference alongside the matte finish. A physical sample establishes the colour, gloss and touch you want.
Is PET MDF scratch resistant or anti-fingerprint?
Those properties follow the selected PET series and surface treatment. State the scratch, abrasion, fingerprint, stain or cleaning requirement you need, together with the test method or acceptance level. We review the corresponding product information and a representative finished sample for your use.
Can PET faced MDF be used for kitchen cabinets and wardrobes?
Yes, it is an option for slab fronts, drawer fronts, end panels and other protected interior furniture components. Select the MDF core grade, edge and joint protection for humidity and cleaning, and plan clearances around heat sources. Check hardware, support and the finish on the actual component.
Can I order cut, drilled or shaped PET MDF parts?
Send the component drawing, dimensions, profile, holes and finish details. We review the selected PET construction and machining sequence for the part. This page focuses on flat-laminated panels and slab components; wrapped or shaped designs need their own film, profile and lamination specification in the quotation.
How does PET MDF compare with acrylic or PVC faced MDF?
PET, acrylic and PVC identify different decorative face materials. Compare the actual finish, face thickness, reverse, surface test results, processing method and edge detail for each proposed panel. A finished sample helps you compare colour, reflection, touch and the fit with your production.
How should PET faced MDF be handled and cleaned?
Store the boards flat, dry and evenly supported with clean face protection. Follow the chosen surface's cleaning guidance and, where a protective film is supplied, its removal and storage instructions. Use the agreed cleaning method and protect exposed joints and edges during handling and installation.
