Inside our factory

Checks for the boards you will use.

A board that fits, a finish that looks right and parts ready for your next step. At our Shuyang factory, we check the MDF dimensions, surfaces, machining and packing you agree with us. Your specification, sample and drawings give our team a clear reference for the panels and components in your order.

Dimensions for your components

We check the agreed thickness, length, width and flatness using suitable measuring equipment. For faced panels and cut parts, we distinguish core thickness from finished dimensions and use the tolerances and measuring points agreed for your order.

The finish you selected

Our appearance checks follow the supplied face, reverse and edge requirements. For decorative MDF, your physical sample identifies the colour, texture, gloss and pattern or veneer direction we agree with you.

Machining to your drawings

For machined parts, we check the agreed cut sizes, holes, routed profiles and edge details against your drawing or part list. The reference identifies the visible face, part orientation and dimensions that matter for assembly.

Protection for your shipment

Before shipment preparation, we check the agreed quantity, bundle identification and packing. Panel support, face and edge protection, wrapping and straps are selected for the product, handling and delivery arrangements.

Your order references, kept together

We agree the specification, sample references, drawings, inspection methods and acceptance criteria before production. Keeping these details with the order helps your purchasing, workshop and receiving teams work from the same information, including on a repeat order.

Reports for the performance you need

Dimensions and appearance can be checked on the factory floor. Emissions, moisture resistance, fire classification and other tested properties are documented in the applicable laboratory reports for the product and thickness. Share the method or classification your project requires; we confirm the relevant reports and any additional testing needed.

A clear response when a check needs follow-up

If a check finds a difference from the agreed requirement, we record the affected panels or parts, findings and quantity. We discuss the result with you and agree the next action, such as rework, replacement or acceptance, before those goods are released.

Buying MDF for the US, EU or UK?

Choose your destination to see the product reports, labels and wood-source information to discuss with our team.

United StatesTSCA Title VI · CARB Phase 2

TSCA Title VI and California CARB

For MDF, including thin MDF, US purchasing requires the applicable TSCA Title VI certification. Request the panel producer identity, certified product type, EPA-recognized third-party certifier (TPC) number and current supporting test records. For California sales, also confirm CARB Phase 2 coverage.

Panels, faced boards and import records

Connect the board or bundle label with the producer, lot number, TPC number and TSCA Title VI statement. Keep the same product identity on purchasing and shipment records. Veneered or other faced constructions also need the applicable finished-product or laminated-product requirements checked. The US importer handles the applicable TSCA Section 13 import certification.

Send us your MDF requirements and destination. We will help you choose the board and prepare the documents for your purchase.

Read the US MDF document checklist for product scope, test-record, label and shipment checks.

Formaldehyde emissions and REACH

From 6 August 2026, REACH Annex XVII entry 77 sets a 0.062 mg/m³ chamber-air limit for furniture and wood-based articles within its scope, with specified test conditions and exemptions. Request a report for the relevant MDF construction and thickness, with the method, sample identity, result and date. Furniture assessment addresses the complete assembled product. E0, E0.5 and E1 descriptions are read together with the actual report and applicable destination requirement.

For faced MDF, include the surface, adhesive and reverse construction in the chemical-compliance request, including applicable REACH restrictions and Candidate List substance information.

Construction use and CE marking

MDF intended as a construction product needs the declaration, assessment and CE marking required by its applicable harmonised specification or European Technical Assessment. Request the MDF-specific declaration of performance (or performance and conformity, as applicable), intended use and supporting reports. Furniture purchasing follows the rules for the finished furniture and its components.

Timber origin and EUDR

For wood products in scope, agree the timber species, source countries, harvest-plot geolocation and legality records needed by the EU operator. EUDR applies from 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and micro/small operators already covered by EUTR; other micro/small operators start on 30 June 2027. The EU operator completes the applicable due-diligence obligations. An FSC claim and the EUDR information serve separate purchasing requirements.

Read the EU MDF document guide for the product, intended-use, emissions and wood-source file to request.

United KingdomGreat Britain · Northern Ireland

Great Britain

Specify the MDF use and the buyer's required emission method and result. Request product-specific reports, applicable UK REACH substance information and the wood-source records required for UK Timber Regulation due diligence.

For construction products, Great Britain currently recognises CE marking alongside the UKCA system. The declaration, product assessment and conformity body must match the selected marking and intended use. For furniture boards, start with the product and finished-furniture requirements relevant to your application.

Northern Ireland

State Northern Ireland as the destination so the applicable EU product requirements are checked. For construction products, CE marking is used; CE with UKNI applies where the required third-party assessment is carried out by a UK approved body.

Tell us your board specification, destination and intended use, and we will help you prepare the documents for your purchase.

Before you order

Your MDF quality questions, answered.

Which quality checks will my order include?

We agree the checks for your product before production: dimensions and tolerances, face and edge appearance, machining where supplied, quantity, labels and packing. Your specification, sample and drawings define what is checked, how it is measured and the acceptance criteria.

Which report should I request for MR, fire-rated or HPL MDF?

Send the product, thickness, finish and intended use, plus any test or classification your project requires. We will help you find the relevant moisture, fire or surface-performance reports.

Does an E0, E0.5 or E1 description answer my destination requirements?

The emission description is a starting point for selecting the board. We confirm the named test standard, method, product construction, thickness, result and report date against your destination and use. For faced panels, include the face, adhesive and reverse layer; for furniture, consider the requirements for the complete assembled product.

What should I send for a pre-shipment inspection?

Send your inspection checklist, sampling requirement and preferred timing before the order is finalised. We confirm the arrangements with the specification, packing plan and shipment schedule. The MDF pre-shipment inspection checklist can help you prepare the request.

How can I request samples and current documents?

Tell us which documents or samples you need. Samples are free and usually in stock; you pay the courier charge, which can be credited against your order. We reply within 12 hours with availability and the next steps.
